Shanta is a Director, Cinematographer, and Mountaineer and Line Producer based in Kathmandu, Nepal, and has been working in filmmaking since 2006. She has been directing and producing TV shows & documentaries with narratives focusing on social issues, marginalised communities, and outdoor and adventure stories. Her work has been screened on National and International networks, such as NatGeo, Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, Animal Planet, etc.

Born into a life of discrimination, stigma, and exclusion, she believes in amplifying marginalized voices through her films.

She is a founder and Director of Shanta Nepali Productions, a leading film production company in Nepal. Shanta also created Nepali Female Filmmakers, a supportive community for female filmmakers. She founded the Shanta Nepali Foundation, which empowers storytellers from marginalized communities to reach their filmmaking goals and visions.

Nimesh Puri is an accomplished film production manager and line producer with over eight years of experience in the industry. Since 2015, he has been a driving force behind the successful execution of numerous national and international film projects. With meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills, Nimesh efficiently manages complex production processes, ensuring seamless coordination between departments and stakeholders. His expertise in budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation maximizes efficiency and minimizes costs. Nimesh's strong leadership, talent for assembling exceptional crews, and ability to make critical decisions under pressure consistently result in completing projects within demanding deadlines. With a passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of the production process, Nimesh Puri contributes significantly to the film production landscape, leaving an indelible mark on every project he undertakes.

SARA FRENNING

Researcher & script writer

Sara Frenning holds a Master of Science in Human Ecology from Lunds University, Sweden. Her Master's thesis was focused on the unjust treatment of mountain tourism workers in Nepal, and her areas of expertise included coloniality, human rights, climate change, women empowerment, and globalization issues. Social justice and de-colonial approaches are deeply interwoven in her work as a researcher and writer.

Sara has been based in Kathmandu, Nepal, for the last year, conducting research and managing projects. She is an avid practitioner of outdoor and adventure sports and is passionate about amplifying stories from places she visits.

Sunita Shakhakarmi

Asst. Producer

Sunita is a Journalist and currently pursuing a career in documentary filmmaking. She is passionate about the story that Sunita is an accomplished journalist with a keen interest in documentary filmmaking. She is deeply passionate about sharing stories that resonate with her personal experiences and reflect the world around her. Currently, she works as an assistant producer at SNP, where she is honing her skills and gaining valuable industry insights that reflect her own experiences and surroundings. At SNP, she is working as an assistant producer.
